Festering
edward michael o’durr supranowicz
Kelly bandages her
Son’s knee, tells him,
“Now, don’t pick at
it.
It’ll fester and
You’ll lose a leg.”
She goes inside,
Pours some hot coffee
And says to her husband,
“You forgot my birthday.
You forgot the dry cleaning.
And I forget what
I ever saw in you.”
She moves as she talks,
And somehow it seems
like
She’s doing a one-legged
dance.
