About Us

The purpose of the Bay Area Transportation Committee is to serve as an advisory body primarily to the three Sierra Club chapters surrounding the San Francisco Bay: Redwood, San Francisco Bay, and Loma Prieta, about regional transportation issues that cross chapter boundaries in northern California, as well as to the CNRCC on transportation issues state-wide.

We also focus on some statewide transportation issues, especially if they have bearing on the Bay Area, such as high speed rail.

The CONS-CNRCC-BAYAREA-TRANSIT-COMM list is sponsored by the
California/Nevada Regional Conservation Committee.
