This Wildlife Recorder Quick Tour will show you how your sightings reports will look. There are many more than are shown below, but all reports can be printed from the screen view, or saved as HTML files, Rich Text Files (for your Word Processor) or PDF files. Moreover you can modify or create your own reports with the report design tool.
The screenshots below illustrate various Wildlife Recorder Reports. Here is a sample page of Full Trip Landscape Report When a specific time is shown for the date, that means that Pocket Bird Recorder, which registers the time of creating the trip, was used. A Short Trip view can be selected if you only want to see the species seen, not the count, ages, and status.
If you keep numbers of bird seen on trips Wildlife Recorder can generate an abundance chart for any location or locations. For example you can keep a chart for your favorite location or for your entire ABA area
The screenshot below shows one of many ways to view your Bird sightings data after you have entered your trip information. The view below is sightings by species. It lists the Date, Common Name, Scientific Name and Location. On the right side of your monitor is a list of your locations as they are kept in order by State and Country.
Of course the database keeps details of all the sites you have visited so that you can sort your sightings by place (your yard) or places. Latitude and Longitude also can be entered for the mapping facility to plot.
An unlimited number of lists can be kept automatically from the sightings you have entered. Wildlife Recorder will automatically keep life lists and if required detailed year lists. If you keep an ABA List it is automatically calculated from sightings data and a species total is shown
You can easily keep your State bird or butterfly or dragonfly list and output a report to your printer or Word Processor. It is easy to create reports of your sightings by individual site, group of sites, by county, or state or for all of North America.
Flexible Queries, you can pull up a list of sightings for a site, county, country or any of the data you have entered, you can even search your free form notes.
Comprehensive Reporting. Wildlife Recorder provides several formats of printed reports, it also allows you to define your own formats.
A Checklist generator allows you to produce your own checklists based on your own lists or on any of the distribution areas provided with Wildlife Recorder. The Report Checklist below shows a List of Birds of Mexico with a 14 day entry area. The same will work for your Butterfly or Mammals data. You have the option to print a list without family names or scientific names.
This is a view of the data entry on Wildlife Recorder. It is a simple process and a long list of bird sightings can be entered quickly.
