It has been written that when Notire Busara confronted Basho on the
bank of
the river, he said,
"Basho, throw that damned staff in the river lest it be cause for
generations of verbal eructations about the meaning of your words."
And Basho is reported to have replied,
" Verbal eructations releive flatulence of the mind, an end devoutly
to be wished."
Notire, being enlightened, relieved himself.
"The
Sayings of Notire Basura" is a work in progress. As Notire provides
inspiration so
will his words will be written
here.
