Notire Basura came upon a monk who was facing the mountain and shouting in 
a deep, stentorian voice, "SHUT UP! QUIET! SILENCE!" 
Notire approached the monk, saying " To whom are you speaking?" 

"I am addressing the critics of the buddha", the monk replied. 

At that moment there came loud echoes from the mountain: "SHUT UP! QUIET! SILENCE!" 

"Could that be the Buddha's answer?" asked Notire. 

The monk was enlightened at that moment.
