Search for Enlightenment
It has been written that One day after trudging a long way through the
hot, brilliant sun, Notire Basura came upon a cool shady forest glen where
a group of monks was busily turning over stones, peering underneath, then
leaving small messages scribbled on bits of parchment beneath the stones
as they replaced them.
"What are you doing,? " Notire asked one of the monks.
"We are searching for enlightenment," the monk replied. " We think it
may be hidden here somewhere."
"But," asked Notire, " Why are you not conducting your search out in
the bright light of the sun? Are you not more likely to find it there?"
"Perhaps," shrugged the monk, " but this shady forest glade is a much
more pleasant place to search."
Notire returned to his journey, enlightened. |
