While meditating in the forest Notire Basura was approached by a beardless 
monk who, kneeling before him said, "Please tell me, venerable sir, what 
is the nature of reality?" 
 Whacking the monk alongside the head with his staff, Notire shouted, ìWhat 
 is your next question?" 
 Holding his head, the Beardless monk said, ì I have been sufficiently 
enlightened for today." 
Notire bowed politely and went his way.
