A garden is
today's reality, tomorrow's hopes
and yesterday's memories.
a heaven for dreams
and a balm for disappointments
when life's not all it seems,
lacy cobwebs and gauzy butterflies
breezes and sun rays
that touch us with gentle fingers
and soften our days.
the smell of the brown earth and cleansing rain drops
that fill hollows and holes.
a pot pourri of sweet scents
worms that wiggle
children that giggle
God's gift to our souls.
