Opportunity Table - Members bring plants, cuttings and produce for a raffle.
At every meeting, members bring plants, cuttings and produce for a raffle. The money collected goes into the general operating fund.
Penny Pines - A collection for purchasing reforestation plantations.
A collection is taken at regular meetings to purchase plantations for reforestation. When a total of $68.00 is reached, a plantation is purchased. For each contribution of $68, seedlings are planted on about one acre of National Forest land in California. For additional information, please see the web site here

Maidu Interpretive Center - "Restoring the Wild" Native Plants & Wildflowers in Native Village
The Roseville Green Thumb Garden Club, member of California Garden Clubs, Inc., in partnership with the City of Roseville 's Maidu Interpretive Center and Historic Site, proposes to plant and maintain native wildflowers and shrubs around a restored native village site. This native village site, being recreated by the City of Roseville , lies within Maidu Regional Park and a 7,000 year old Nisenan (southern Maidu) archaeological site on the National Register of Historic Places. The recreated village and planting site also lie directly behind the Maidu Interpretive Center , an Indian Museum and Nature Learning Center .This project is partially funded by CGCI Jubilee Grant program. Placer County Fair - Horticulture building hosts and hostesses.
Members volunteer to act as hosts and hostesses in the horticulture building. They help to assemble the entries, act as monitors during the fair and help dissemble afterwards. A set fee is given to the club for its services for the general fund.
Scholarship - Scholarship awarded to horticulture or botany student
A $200 scholarship is awarded to a Roseville High School Senior who registers for college in the field of horticulture or botany. Please see the High School Councilor for application information.
Planting and teaching gardening to children.
The "Centipedes" a 3rd grade youth group at Twelve Bridges Elementary School. They are working on Smokey Bear and Woodsy Owl posters to enter a contest for an award from California Garden Clubs, Inc. Link to Smokey Bear contest
Roseville Rose Show
The annual Roseville Rose Show is sponsored by Roseville Green Thumb Garden Club, Better Gardens Garden Club and the Roseville Arrangers Guild. It is open to cut flowers.
