Hollister 51st Aniversary Independence Rally

1947 - 1998
Here are the pics from my run to downtown Hollister and the Corbin Trade Show.
I
rode down to Hollister on Friday the 3rd for a one day 400 mile run with
four other bikes from Sacramento. We went the back way on Hwy 33 through
smaller towns to avoid all the traffic on the Interstate.
The
first stop was the Corbin trade show next to their factory in Hollister.
Mike's Norton had trouble with the primary belt and a Norton rider from
Hollister let him ride over to his garage for repairs.
Tony
had a Corbin seat put on his Sportster to try for a ride around the block.
He said it was the finest ride his ass ever had! (Will set up a advertising
banner and Close up shots of my seat-for a free Corbin seat for my 78 Lowrider)
Samson
pipes had this awesome custom bike showing off a pair off their custom
performance pipes (Oh yeah same deal for Samson would love to show off
my new free promotional pipes on my webpage!!)
Next
stop was downtown which was blocked off for Bikers only, we found a spot
to park the bikes and started to cruise the vendors.
The
main drag was full of scooters for at least 6 blocks.
Here
is the group From the left Gil(98 Sportster), Paul(82 Superglide), Mike(Norton
750) and Tony(98 Sportster)
The
bikes kept rolling in all afternoon.
Anna
(my friend from the Redwood run) and her friends made it downtown for some
fun and sun too
This
old flathead wins my rat bike award since it has been ridin so hard the
seat was worn down to the foam. Nice to see an awesome bike like this that
is being rode instead of trailered from show to show.
Snaped
from the center of town, you could not see the end of the row of bikes
in either direction.
As
usual have to get one pic of me to prove I really did make it to Hollister!!
Finally got my vest all put together those run pins keep piling up!!! One
whole side dedicated to Redwood Run (7 pins and a patch!!) For more information
on the History of the Hollister and other details of the Run see the Hollister
