DOWNTOWN RENO, NEVADA
September 20-23,2001
I drove up Thursday with my Biker Babe Vicky on my
new 2002 Electra Glide Classic and my buddy Jack Hayden who is riding a 2001
Road King. The weather was sooooooo perfect this year with temps up
in reno in the High 80's and not a cloud in the sky. After registering
and some leather shopping we went back to Atlantis for Prime Rib, Shrimp,Crab
and Margaritas! Later rocked out outdoor concert at the Peppermill and hooked
up with Jack for drinks in the lounge for some more music.
Friday went on awesome Poker run up to Virginia City,
beautiful views, very windy road up to VC then cruised the main street, the
Harleys from Reno filled 7-8 blocks of downtown, then back thru Carson City
for a stop at HD of Carson City and back to Reno.
Then it was off to the Silver Legacy for one awesome
STYX concert. After downing one of those 2 ft tall margaritais we went
down to the stage and stood right on the side next to the stage all night.
Was all of the band making it over to the corner for a close up look of the
guitar work. STYX Rules!!!!!
Saturday parked the Bagger on the Main Drag on Virginia
Street, As with the past few years the promoters keep putting more and more
Vendors on the Main Drag leaving less and lees parking space for the Harleys!!
I could do with a few less Ice Cream and hotdog vendors PLEASE!!!!
This red tank was a work of art! Yes it does have
redeeming art value along with a few boobies too :)
This Dragon Trike was worth a look. Hmmm wonder if
the Dragon has to wear a Helmet too?
This red custom had babes in every nook and cranny
and nooks and crannys in every babe Hahaha!!!
Casper the friendly Ghost I think was flying over
to check out the babes on the Red Bike above!!! No wonder he had a smile on
his face!
Vicky and I had a blast checking out all the cool
rides on Virginia Street.
This paint job on the fairing was one of the best
this year. The detail on the Indians's face, and of course I'm always
a sucker for Eagles.
These custom choppers had a wild front end and very
nice custom tanks but with no front end brakes or fender not sure if they
were street legal.
This bike had the sexiest rear end Ummm i mean Tail
Fender Ummm I mean... ooooooo you all know what I mean HaHa!!
This red and gray panhead custom keeps you looking
and looking and looking.
This Red Flame custom is hard to ignore with all
the chrome and custom tank its really nice. Hey Buddy got a light?
This year's Rat Bike award goes to this old shovel that decorated in basic
black, White seat covers, and a trail of oil down the side covers that again
pays tribute to that hard core biker that keeps his ride going no matter what!!!
Well here is the other extreme to the Rat bike ,
this biker took a white sprayer and did his entire bike in white!!!!! Could
not find any chrome on this baby, pipes, engine, air cleaner, you name it
and its painted white!!! must be easy to spot those oil leaks huh!
I snapped this pic as this biker putted by.
Had to get a shot of that horse with the Harley rear end on the back!!!
What well repected biker takes off for Reno without taking a few brewski's along!!! When this biker rolled down the strip it got all sorts of cheers!!! And a few bikers chasing him down the street with their empty glasses!
Of course no Run pics would be complete without a
pic of the Raffle Girl!!!!!
Well hoped you enjoyed my Street Vibrations pics,
this year was the best year yet for me!! A New ride, a hot biker babe, great
tunes all weekend, It doesnt get any better than this!!! See you up here next
year!Standard Disclaimer: All photos taken without anyone's permission, if anyone is upset about seeing their pic or their bike here, Email me and I will yank your sorry ass off my webpage!
