William Button was a young servant who worked for Dr. Samuel Fuller. He was muscular, and had red hair. He was tall and had freckles on his face.

One day, he got sick. He was coughing like crazy. Every day, he got weaker and weaker. He became very pale. He got lumps on his face.

"I will never make it to the New World," he groaned. Then he died and fell out of bed.

Several minutes later, a sailor from the top mast yelled out, "LAND! LAND!" In the distance, everyone could see the green of pine trees. Everyone except poor, unfortunate William Button
