AIDS Advocate Ministry

NEW FAITH CHURCH is commited to an AIDS/HIV Ministry. Our AIDS Advocate is Alma Goard.

"Being an AIDS Concern Advocate for the United Church of Christ for the past 2-1/2 years has really given me a sense of purpose in my life. At first it merely involved being a link between the AIDS ministry at the UCC Northern California Conference level and the individual church. This interest soon led me to become actively involved in other areas of AIDS concerns such as the HAND to HAND Project, (AIDS Interfaith Network), and the Tri-County AIDS program here in Placer County. All of these organizations are working diligently in the fields of education and prevention of the spread of the HIV virus, as well as seeking to improve the quality of life for those already infected with it. It is inspiring to be associated with those I have met through this endeavor, both workers and clients."
