YOUTH MINISTRY at New Faith Community Church is based on "ministry with youth" and not "ministry to youth." Our ministry emphasis is "faith based" as opposed to "activity based" youth ministries. Out of the context of worship our youth are challenged to be ministers and servants to one another and to the world around them. Our youth leadership style is based on rotating leaders from within the youth themselves. FOLLOWSHIP is our ongoing leadership training. Learning to lead, follow, and support one another. Learning to take direction, give direction, and follow direction from one another. We believe that given the "opportunity to serve" - young people will be present and future leaders.

Besides weekly Sunday School services, New Faith reaches out in our community to help where needed.

The Placer Children's Receiving Home cares for children who have been removed from their homes for a variety of reasons, pending placement in foster care. New Faith provides ongoing financial support through our monthly Sox&Boxers offering, as well as special season gifts at Easter and Christmas to brighten the children's faces.

Light a Candle for Children. Stand for Children, begun by Marian Wright Edelman, coordinates prayers and ministry for children's issues each September-October, culminating in the Children's Sabbath, the 3rd Sunday in October. New Faith joins this prayer effort, and undertakes a special ministry project for children during this time.

Peace Village, begun at New Faith in 1999 after the incident at Columbine High School in Colorado, is a one-week summer camp that teaches the skills of peacemaking to children 8-12.
