Syllabus
Textbook: Economics: Principles in Action (2007: Pearson-Prentice-Hall, Boston, Massachusetts)
Students will be participating in (1) Problem Based-Learning exercises, (2) International Economic Summit, and (3) The Stock Market game.
Class rules:
1. No food, gum, seeds, candy, drinks, etc., are allowed in the classroom.
2. No late assignments – turn in what you have when it’s asked for. No exceptions!
3. No extra credit will be assigned.
4. Talking during tests/quizzes will result in an “F” on that assignment.
5. No one leaves until everything is picked up off the floor, books returned to proper
place, and you are in your assigned seat.
6. No phones and/or electronic devices can be used during class time. Turn them of
and put them away!!!
7. No Hats to worn in class!
8. Leave your attitudes outside the classroom.
9. No swearing or demeaning comments.

Grading:
100 – 90 = A
89 – 80 = B
79 – 70 = C
69 – 60 = D
59 – 0 = Fail
